Anne Lovett, a native of Dublin, Georgia, is an alumna of Emory University and earned a Ph. D. degree from Georgia Tech in natural products chemistry. She helped to found a small business still flourishing today, but left to care for a child with special needs. She studied writing at Emory and with renowned writers such as Rosemary Daniell. She has published literary short stories, personal essays, journalism, and poetry. She is the author of the Kirkus- starred World War II novel Rubies from Burma, named one of the best 100 Indie books of 2017 by Kirkus Reviews, and Saving Miss Lillian, a finalist for the prestigious Maggie Award of Excellence given by the Georgia Romance Writers. She lives in Atlanta with her model-railroader husband and rescue cat.
