This work presents the theory of legal acts, which is a cornerstone of the general section of the German Civil Code. This subject is taught starting in the 1st semester and, better than any other material, serves as an introduction to the system and terminology of the German Civil Code (BGB). Part 1 presents the theory of legal acts, and Part 2 examines the theory using the methodology of “case processing” (Fallbearbeitung).
