The Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training evaluates the collectively agreed training allowances as at 1 October each year. In 2024, trainees in companies bound by collective agreements received an average of 1,133 euros. At 6.3 per cent, this was the highest increase measured since overall German averages have been calculated. For the first time, there was hardly any difference between collectively agreed training allowances in western and eastern Germany. The technical article presents further results for selected occupations, training areas, years of training and gender.
