There is probably no other place where children spend more time than at school. Accordingly, research on school pedagogy is concerned with a wide variety of topics: Gender sensitivity, diversity, transition design, educational problems. The authors from Germany, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia and South Korea discuss different aspects of school and school development. They discuss their respective national contexts from the perspective of general, historical and comparative educational science as well as school pedagogy, general didactics and teacher education.
