This book presents the development of a low cost embedded wireless smart home prototype system for controlling home appliances in a building. The system provides a friendly user interface Android application based smartphone for controlling appliances and devices from anywhere in the world with an IP connectivity for accessing the embedded micro web-server. This system uses an Arduino Ethernet interface which runs a simple data web server to avoid using a personal computer as a server to keep the overall system cost to minimum.
