»The Scope of Trans- and Post-Mortem Testamentary Powers of Attorney and their Acceptance in other European Countries Using the Example of Spain«: The central subject of the study is the possible scope of trans- and post-mortem testamentary powers of attorney under German law. A comprehensive catalogue of criteria is developed to determine the extent to which testator powers of attorney can legitimately exist alongside testamentary dispositions. It also examines the extent to which trans- and post-mortem powers of attorney that are permissible under German law are recognised in other European countries, taking Spain as an example.
