This study examines literary journeys through the cultural space of the former Yugoslavia. At the center are narrative characters who return to their regions of origin and find themselves confronted with tensions between their current lifeworlds and their Yugoslavian family histories. On these travels, a survey of local memory cultures takes place, delving into historical upheavals like the Yugoslav Wars.
