John Brown (1722-1787) of Haddington produced his Bible Dictionary in 1769; this new compilation includes all the people from it. Brown seems to have missed no one! It contains interesting facts and some provocative thoughts by way of application. Also includes groups of people (such as Apostles or Angels). If you intend only to look up one name then you will wonder where the time went 10 pages later its that fascinating!
