This is the proceedings of the International Conference on AIDS­ Associated Syndromes held at Irvine on December 7-8, 1984. The purpose of this conference was to bring together investigators who are actively engaged in AIDS research to present their most recent data with regard to etiological agent(s) of AIDS, immunological characteristics of some of the patients in early stages of AIDS and various therapeutical modalities that are available for the treatment of AIDS, early AIDS (persistent generalized lymphadnopathy) or for those who demonstrate asymptomatic acquired immunodeficiency.
