Life is full of ups and downs for all of us. In this book I suggest that our present-day actions and conclusions are greatly influenced by our past experiences. I outline my experience at being brought up on an aboriginal mission station and participating in a local government centric career to try and put some logic into the illogical, and often taboo, subjects of politics and religion. Throughout my career, I developed a mantra that has never failed me: 'Always believe a politician will act like a politician and you will never be disappointed when they do.'
