Jay Sand moves to a small city in Nebraska looking forward to his new job in the district attorney's office. He soon becomes the target of assassins and Sergeant Cindy Jackson is assigned to work out of his office and watch his back. They stumble onto a multiple homicide in progress and are caught up in the search for the killers.
